With all the Oscar parties, gifting suites, style lounges and celebrity pampering going on in town last week, Austrian jewelery brandFreyWillequietly opened a new outpost on Rodeo Drive right before the weekend.
The Carat Diet managed to slip in for a peek and to speak with Managing Director Maria Gruber who showed us around the new store located near The Rodeo Collection entrance.
The brand was founded in 1951 using precious metal and bold-colored liquid glass surrounded by 14k gold or platinum. Their latest store will feature the best-sellingGustav Klimt pieces– many encrusted with diamonds, who are currently celebrating their 200th year. The line is not limited to bangles, rings, pendants and earrings, but will also feature clutch handbags, scarfs, cufflinks, ties, belts and ball-point pens.
Other items available at this location include Swiss ETA quartz clockwork watches in round, regina and oblong shapes in gold plate or silver. The ‘Art Collections’ and ‘Magic Sphinx Collection’ paying homage to master painters and historic epoches are also displayed beautifully in wall to wall cases in the store making the experience more of an art gallery outing than just another shopping experience.
