Who Wore It Best: Tilda Swinton

Wednesday, February 8, 2012
Author: Talia DiDomenica

It seems as though in this edition of WWIB, we should be asking the question WHAT was worn best, instead of WHO wore it best.  Here at The CaratDiet we have great respect for women (and men) who take risks with their jewels; those who, when faced with a choice, pick the over-the-top statement piece ten out of ten times.  So it should be no surprise that this award season Tilda Swinton has risen to the top of our “Who To Watch” list.

During recent appearances on the red carpet at both the Golden Globe and Screen Actor’s Guild Awards, Ms. Swinton stepped out wearing eye catching bracelets that we could not get enough of.  So as we anxiously await the next round of award shows, we are pitting Tilda against herself in a battle of the bangles.

Which of her award show look gets your vote?

At the 18th Annual Screen Actor’s Guild Awards Tilda wore a stunning 1940’s 18-carat gold and diamond bracelet by Fred Leighton.  The geometric design of the cuff was a perfect contrast to the ethereal look of her gown.

In a bold move, she wore not one, but two matching 1940’s sapphire flower, diamond and 18-carat gold coil cuff bracelets at the 69th Annual Golden Globe’s.  The bracelets by Fred Leighton were the only accessories worn to accent her ensemble.

So what do you think was Tilda’s best bracelet look?  Chunky and geometric?  Or dainty and double the jewels?
